Pure Critical (formerly known as Simple Play Games) is a creative team with a single purpose: to spread the passion for Role-Playing Games. Founded in April 2017, its focus is on developing rule systems that are exceptionally simple and accessible to both new and experienced players, welcoming participants as young as six years old.
Over the past eight years, Pure Critical has successfully participated in major events, including Comic Con 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, the 21st Comic N Play in Thessaloniki, and the 1st Dragon Festival in Paliouri, presenting a variety of themed scenarios—ranging from epic fantasy and Victorian horror to science fiction, post-apocalyptic settings, and World War II narratives.
Since March 2024, Pure Critical has been organizing one to two monthly events in Thessaloniki under the title Choose Your Theme. Additionally, Pure Critical has expanded into publishing one-shot role-playing game scenarios.
